Abducting Jim (Part 1)

People are always curious about what the future may hold in store for them. For Jim, he had no idea what his future held in store for him. October 13th, 2020 was the last day of Jim's normal life. Jim is a 23 year old, somewhat of a built kind of man, peaceful but stern nonetheless. Your typical all-American, Caucasian male. Jim looks at any problem he faces and comes up with an effective solution. He works in a hardware store with his Uncle Silas (who was also his legal guardian since he was 8.)

Jim had quite a problem to solve today, for his Uncle Silas had to stay home, with a flu of some kind. Jim knew he had to open the store, yet he could not overcome this nervousness overwhelming him. However, Jim was able to muster up enough courage to open his Uncle's hardware store for the day. He knew he could open up the shop for not one person was out this morning, especially at 6 a.m on a Saturday in the small farm town he called his home. The town is usually rampant with farmers or relatives of farmers coming in for supplies and preparing for the harvest season occurring, everyone should be out running their errands and picking up supplies, at least, that's what Jim thought.

An hour goes by and the streets are still empty. Another hour goes by; Jim is expecting customers at any minute. Hour after hour goes by, Jim's boredom is immensely growing as well as his curiosity of why nobody is out and about. When noon comes around, Jim decides to call his Uncle to check up on him and see how he is doing. He picks up the phone and dials his Uncle's cell phone; no answer. Jim calls again but still no answer.

With no customers in sight or an active civilization for that matter, Jim decides to close the store and head home to check on Uncle Silas. Jim closes the store hesitantly as he looked inside the shop from the door, towards the counter in the back. He had a vision, a memory from his past, when he was a child. Little Jim crying on the floor and a much younger Uncle Silas there to pick him up and comfort him. At this moment, Jim snapped out of his dazed state of a memory. When he came to, a single tear of blood dripped from his nose, hitting the concrete porch of his Uncle's hardware store. This had only happened one other time, when Jim was born.

A single drop of blood fell from Jim's newborn nose into his crib at the hospital he was born in. When this happened, Jim's mother had passed. When Jim's father heard of this, he knew he would have to do his best to take care of his son. He did, right up until Jim was about 7, when Jim's father passed away. Thus putting Jim into Silas's custody. Jim never knew of the incident that occurred in his crib in the hospital.

So Jim picked himself up and got into his white 1960's pick-up truck. He started the engine and jetted straight for his Uncle's house. When he pulled into the driveway, he shut off the engine and ran straight into his Uncle's home. Once inside, Jim could feel something was wrong. The atmosphere felt dense, as if someone or something was lingering inside of the house.

Jim made his way to the door of his Uncle's bedroom, thinking to himself, "Uncle Silas doesn't usually leave his door closed." Jim opened the door to find only his Uncle's nightwear filled with ashes of what appeared to be his Uncle Silas.

Jim, in a confused and emotionally debilitating state, started to cry. As Jim cried over his Uncle's ashy remains, four purple orbs started to manifest behind Jim, then a flash filled the room with light. When the light cleared and Jim's eyes refocused, he was astonished to see what appeared in front of his face.
