Constructed from educational medical illustrations, embroidery, and intaglio prints, Tether related the human fetus to the illustrated nest of a magpie, filled with objects. It simultaneously considers our connection to domestic environment, and possessions but the tethering could also be considered as attachment to another person, or addiction. An attachment that, it is implied, must be abandoned for the subject to grow.
