Abducting Jim (Part 2)

Jim wept over his Uncle Silas's ashy remains embedded in his uncle's pajamas and four purple orbs glowed behind Jim. A light filled the room, when the light cleared, four strange beings came into Jim's sight. The first being was a tall and slender figure. He was so tall he had to duck his head in Silas's bedroom. This being’s skin was pale, with scars running vertically up and down the being’s body. His clothes, tattered and torn. His wrists were wrapped with handcuffs and the chains broken, like he was a liberated slave. The second being appeared female, a couple of inches shorter than Jim. Her skin glowing orange, her eyes resemble an insect’s, like a bumblebee or a fly. Her hair was as yellow as the gaze of the sun, bearing down on a hot day. Her clothing appeared army, with a torn suit jacket dyed gold covered in strangely designed ripped patches, and silver pants with black pinstripes. The third being was very small, no taller than an 8-year-old child, and made of a black metal, one that Jim had never seen before. Nuts and bolts held this being together and a hole in the robot’s chest glowed pink. The fourth being looked familiar, almost like Jim himself except dark brown skin and extremely long and silver hair. He wore what looked like a priest's robe made of spider webs and a small crown made of the same black metal of the third being. The four aliens stood in front of Jim, staring down at him, into his eyes.

The first being spoke out to Jim and held out his hand to help him up. "Jim, we've come here for your help, we need you!"

Jim answered in a confused way, "Who are you people? Why are you in my uncle's bedroom!?”

"We have no time for introductions Jim, we need you to come with us now! We fear that whoever killed your Uncle is coming for you! You are in grave danger on this planet!" Jim's Doppelganger replied.

"How do you know this man was my uncle? How do you know my name!?" Jim asked in a frustrated way.

"Oh we know everything about you Jim, we know more about you than you know about yourself,” the fourth being announced in a convincing tone. “We need to get you out of here now! Please come with us!"

Jim, clueless about why these aliens were here. He could not grasp the concept of intelligent life outside of his planet. He knew something felt wrong. He did not want to die anytime soon, so Jim went with his gut on this feeling instead of his brain and took the hand of the tall slender being. In a flash, they vanished, vaporizing from Silas's bedroom up into the sky. When Jim reformed from molecules, he breathed heavily, as if he was being suffocated.

The black metal being spoke. "Sorry about that Jim, we should have warned you about air deprivation during the molecular deconstruction and reconstruction phases when leaving your atmosphere."

Jim looked around, each object more surprising than the last. Furniture made from what looked like barbed leather, and a lamp with a giant egg for a base, covered in colorful dots and a spiders leg for the neck. The bulb was the thorax of a giant lightning bug. The glow was a bright neon blue. Jim felt very sick, vomiting all down the front of his hardware store uniform. Post vomit, little floating robots with extending arms started to clean Jim, scrubbing his clothes and face. Jim stood, inquiring where he was and what was going on in a shocked, anxious tone.

"Well we got him out of there, we might as well tell him," said the radiant insect-like female alien to Jim's Doppelganger. The Doppelganger picked Jim up.

"Jim, take a seat and listen. I am Jalt, supreme ruler of Bewklosse. This woman here is Feidra, former general to her father's army on Flerodose. That tall man piloting our ship over there is Quix, one of the greatest pilots of Rondure, his home planet. That little guy over there is of my creation, Wazop. Constructed from the precious metal of my home planet and the crown you see on my head, Bewklerite. We have rescued you from what we believe is a disease that is spreading rapidly through the galaxies, created by Feidra's father in trying to overthrow all galaxies and become supreme ruler. When this disease finds a host, it drains any liquid found in the being's body, leaving them well, high and dry as you would say on your planet." Jalt chuckled, looking into Jim's eyes which were full of anger and frustration. Jalt's chuckle dwindled into a dissatisfied humming.

"OK, so know that I know who all of you are, why do you need my help?" Jim asked.

"Jim, we know about your special ability. Tell me, today, right before you closed the store, did you have any weird flashbacks?"

"Yes, but how did you know..."

"Then a drop of blood fell from your nose, did it not?"

"Yes, but how do you know that?"

"Jim, everyone on this ship has a special ability."

Jim stood up quickly. "OK, if everyone here has a special ability, then what's my power?"

"Ah, good question Jim. Your nose bleeds every time the disease is near, why it hasn't infected you yet? We do not know, it won't touch you, which is why we need to harness your power to wipe out this disease destroying life across multiple galaxies."

Jim approached a window on the side of the ship. He stared back down at Earth, knowing he would not be able to go back. Jalt wrapped an arm around Jim's shoulder as a tear ran down Jim's face.

"We know this is a lot for you to take in now, but Jim we need you, your uncle needs you, galaxies need you!" Jalt said to Jim in a consoling and inspiring way.

Jim wiped the tear away from his face. He looked around the ship into the faces of the strange aliens. Overwhelmed with strange and disheartening emotions, Jim turned around, a serious look on his face. He turned towards Jalt.

"So, when do we get started!?"
