Falling Ink

I created this illustration using mono-print techniques to create a landscape of falling pigment and then worked back into it with pen and ink creating a further overwhelmed landscape. The bird under the leaves could be trapped or burdened under them, or perhaps is hiding playfully. I am interested in this dynamic of the macabre and play.
