My Dear Annemarie: "blue twilight"

"My Dear Annemarie,

We must have walked across Florence four times that day. Back and forth to get to no place. We climbed atop the hill and saw the edge of the horizon painted by the setting sun.

You blew a smoke into the night. You had wished for something different. You stood further away, tucking your body into an invisible corner; unable to escape yet unwilling to break down the barriers.

I let the drug consumed my vision. I motioned the earth to open up, and take me into its core. We could meet at the bottom of it all, underneath all that filthy mess that is real, and back to the beginning."
