stranger land

"My dear Annemarie,

We must have walked across town four times that day. Back and forth

getting to no place. We climbed atop the hill and watched the edge of the

horizon being painted by the setting sun.

You blew a smoke into the night. You had wished for something different.

You stood further away, tucking your body into an invisible corner, unable

to escape yet unwilling to break down the barriers.

I let the drug consumed my vision. I motioned the earth to open up, and to

take me into its core. We could meet at the bottom of it all, underneath all

that filthy mess that is real, and back to the beginning."
